18" Vinyl Dolls with Vinyl Arms and Legs and Cloth Bodies, Adorable Eyes, Beautiful Hair, Dimples from their smiles, lightly painted clear fingernails, soft coloring in their cheeks and on top of their hands and feet, and Crutches. 9 of the dolls have Above Knee and Below Knee Prosthetic Legs and 3 of the dolls have straight legs with no hair but come with a Wig and Hat. Shown with Blue or Brown Eyes, Blond, Brown, or Red Hair, or Bald with a wig and Bandana, Slouch Hat, or Baseball Cap. We also have 3 dolls that do not come with a prosthesis or bald head.

The dolls are very specialized and best handled by a child who knows about prostheses or wants to learn about them. We suggest the dolls and accessories for children ages 8 years and older, or those who have the ability to learn and understand the techniques to attach the legs.

The prostheses attach to a strap that she puts around her waist.

Everyone at school thought my new prosthetics were really cool. I showed them how I put them on and take them off. I was so afraid they were going to think I was different but they didn't. They wanted to take turns with my crutches so I showed them the best way to hold onto them to balance!

Taylor Birthday: August 11 Brown Hair, Blue Eyes
Right after the car accident, the doctors said my legs were not repairable and had to be removed. They gave me new legs and now I am learning to walk again. It's not easy but I go to physical therapy everyday and I'm learning how to use them. Maybe I can walk someday without crutches.

I was in the hospital for a very long time and I missed all my friends in school so much! When I went back to school yesterday, my whole class had a party for me. They made me a huge "get well" card and each of them signed it. We even had frosted cookies!! My teacher Mrs. Vance gave me a big hug :)

I love to go Horseback Riding after school. The therapist said it helps me with my balance but I just think it's fun! My horse's name is Buttercup and he is only 5 years old. When I came to the hospital, we didn't know why I was so sick. I found out that I had cancer and needed to have a bone marrow transplant to make me well again. Now that we know what it is, we know what we need to fight. The doctors, my parents and I are all working together to fight the disease. I can't wait to go outside and play again - hopefully soon!

Hospital Gown & Slippers

Cute hospital gown and slippers to put on your doll when you go to the hospital. The hospital gown has teddy bears on it with red and white cording around the sleeves and neck, and a tiny logo on the shoulder. The red "slippers" are actually suede slip-ons and therefore they will go with many other outfits, not just sleepwear.

Note - These dolls are very specialized and difficult to produce and therefore more complex than other 18" dolls on the market. They can stand with crutches and most of the time they can even stand without crutches. By helping them learn to balance, you can teach them how to stand on their own. Don't forget to teach them how to put their legs on tight. There are instructions on the "Sew *ABLE* Dolls Instructions" webpage and also in the cool box they will come in.
