Doll Clothes 'n' Accessories

***** UPDATE *****  The freight ships that carry many companies toys, clothes, etc. (also known as "cartons" or "crates") are backed up and not going anywhere fast. To us, they are an 18 wheeler truck on the road.  Take off the front end and imagine all those back ends on top of each other and beside each other on a huge freight ship - hundreds fit on one freight ship. " like you see on the road with you - I was fortunate enough to watch how they unload all of them.  The back ends of these 18-53 foot wheeler trucks are one of many that have been stalled in Los Angelos and to make things worse, the workers are on strike.  It is uncertain if many companies will receive their goods before Christmas.  We are just glad we are not one of the companies waiting for goods overseas.  Phew!

So besides the weather whipping through the U.S., please allow enough time to order so we can make sure your items are delivered to you asap.

*Please Note:  We talked to the manufacturer at the International Toy Fair in NYC and he stated that he will not be remaking these adorable sinks and stoves or selling them in the U.S. anymore.   So the items we have are the last ones remaining in the U.S.A.  That's very sad, but understandable.  With the new toy regulations, it is much too costly to manufacture the item, then have it completely tested (which is about $8,000 per different item) and then shipped to the U.S. to be sold here.  He said he can't do that.  Please note, a lot of small businesses have gone out of business due to the outrageous testing costs (outfits as much as $1,000 per each design of outfit).  So if you find that your favorite store has closed up, it's due to the unregulated costs being charged to test every manufactured item.  For instance we had to send the testing companies 55 doll heads just to find if there were Phthlates in any of the dolls (there are not) but they had to scrape down multiple layers and needed 55 doll heads just to have enough to sample.  That kind of tells you something there.   Many of the little "accessories" you have adored on our website came from companies who will not be remaking them anymore because of the cost to test a simple wind-up motor (such as in the fans and crockpots).   This is unfortunate, but to test an item that costs under $10 at a cost of $1000 per type, would never be profitable for any company to reproduce.

As far as we have heard, the Lee Middleton (Middleton Company) will be merging with the Madame Alexander Company and all of their dolls WILL be labeled "not a toy and not for children under 14"   I'm sure their costs will have to go up as well.  Well, that's about all I know right now.  Our items are manufactured by top manufacturers who have certificates that show they have passed or exceeded all safety tests.

Our Boy Dolls are being tested head to toe and we are just waiting until everything is all set and then they can be adopted!!!!  It has been a long time, but everything has to be just right.
